Be Patient with yourself there is no Better Investment

How To Be Patient: The Power Of Patience

I don’t expect anyone to pick up the skill of patience overnight. However, if you care about your own personal growth, then patience is one of the most crucial qualities that you should pay attention to. You’ll be surprised how most people in our lives will never acquire patience as a virtue yet still it’s a very crucial skill in our lives. This is because they are continually frustrated time and again by the slow improvement rate of their lives. Hence, they turn to harsh self-criticism.

People move forward at different paces. And that is why the last thing you need to do is compare yourself to someone else in your life. That can lead to bitterness and jealousy which is no healthy way of leading our lives. At the end of the day, life is not a race despite the fact that man tends to be competitive in nature.

I won’t deny, there is always that jolt of satisfaction that comes in handy when you are richer or maybe smarter than everyone else. The unfortunate part is that this feeling slowly degenerates to smugness. Meaning that the moment we meet someone who beats us in all aspects we are likely to fall and clash.

However, when you are patient with yourself, then you will easily avoid all this. That is because patience reminds you that you are your own competitor. In that, you are uniquely built with your own abilities and talents. Hence, you are made to improve yourself and not to get into a life race with another person.

Reasons Why You Need To Ne Patient

1. Patience Makes Your Commitment To Success Clear

Well, when you exhibit patience, you are able to stay focused on your goals for as long as you need. Meaning that you don’t have to involve in unethical ways in order to cut some corners. Instead, you wait for things to work out patiently.

With Commitment, you will be able to make things happen until you get the results that you want. The good thing is that when you are focused, the message is clear not only to yourself but also to the people around you.

2. You Learn To Stay On Your Own Lane

When you are patient, you will rarely ruin things for people around you. The reason why everyone will always tell you that patience is a virtue is because it needs a lot of self-control to get in check. Hence, patience helps you to take time and think about the happiness of other people around you. With patience, you will no longer have to worry about ruining surprises for other people.

3. Great Things Tend To Take Time

This is probably a long gone cliché to you, but it’s true. The great things in life take time. There is no moment in life you will ever create something great without dedicating your time and effort to it.

This means that, when you are patient enough, you are ready to do all it takes to fulfill something great. Hence, there is no chance that you will skimp over the crucial details. That is why patience will always be the most basic virtue when you are chasing great things in life.

4. You Are The Only Person On Your Schedule

Impatient people will always be demanding other people to run on their schedule. Generally, this is perceived as a very selfish way of interacting with people. It just evidently shows your level of self-absorbance.

However, when you are patient, you get to understand that not everyone runs on your schedule. This helps to give others a chance to do their own thing. And at the same time, you get to improve your interpersonal relationships with them.

When you are patient, that’s like the main indicator that you value the life and schedule of people around you. Hence, you will earn their respect too.

5. Patience Helps You Make Better Decisions In Life

Patience is one virtue that can help you to make some lifesaving decisions. To start with, when you are not too anxious, you will in most cases take the time to think about the repercussions of your decisions.

Hence, you take enough time to think about the best possible solutions. However, when you are impatient, you are likely to make rash decisions so as to achieve the desired goals faster. In the end, you might end up feeling regretful.

  1. I believe being inpatient tends to lead us down the wrong path , wrong decisions it makes you make haste decisions. I find my son is very impatient and has caused him many regrets and heartache the only thing I can do to help him is to tell him learn from his mistake since like I said thats what it causes him. I think he slowly learning to be more patient. Great post:)
