Be Inspired By The Kardashians
Everyone either loves, loves to hate or is in two minds about the Kardashians. You can say a great deal about them, whether good or bad, but the fact is that they’re a very successful and resourceful family.
Even if you don’t understand why they’re famous, it’s undeniable that they’ve done something right. So whether you want to admit it or not, there’s a lot to be learned from this family; either from watching their personal victories and failures in their reality TV show, “Keeping Up With The Kardashians”, or from analyzing their marketing and business strategies, the Kardashians are a great source of practical knowledge.
If you don’t believe me, consider these five things you can learn from them to help you improve your own life and business.
1. Investing In Yourself Is Vital
Everyone in the family has gone through difficult personal issues and they have all managed to come out the other end stronger and more motivated to improve their own situation.
Take Khloe Kardashian as an example. Khloe is a very likable person and she always managed to seem more down to earth than her sisters. Well, as down to earth as you can be when you’re a Kardashian.
Many of us can relate to Khloe because she has struggled with her self-esteem, her self-image, and her self-worth. There have been many dark moments for her, but she learned that in order to build the life she wanted, she needed to improve her health, both physically and mentally. And that’s exactly what she did!
She worked to reach her fitness goals and get the physique she always wanted, and, in the process, she has gained a great level of emotional and mental resilience that she didn’t have in the earlier “Keeping Up With The Kardashians” days.
By analyzing Khloe’s progress through the years, you’ll see that investing in yourself and your well-being is vital and that you can gain control of your life as soon as you realize that you’ve always had that power.
Rob Kardashian has also taught us quite a bit in his struggle with both depression and weight gain. He hasn’t let his issues define his character and he understands that sometimes you need to reach out and get professional help when you can’t manage on your own.
2. Keep It Real
Kardashians – never pretended to be something they’re not. They don’t only speak their mind, they’re also brutally honest with each other and themselves (I mean, their feisty one-liners are the highlight of any episode).
Not a single Kardashian is afraid to share their opinion on something and they are incredibly assertive people, which is something we all need to practice. They don’t care what anyone else thinks of them and they won’t roll over and show their belly for anyone. If they fall, they pick themselves back up and they turn negatives into positives.
3. You’re Never Too Young Or Too Old To Make Your Dreams Come True
Kylie Jenner is the youngest member of the family, and even so, she has managed to build her own empire and her own life. She has proven that you’re not too young to pursue your ambitions and that perseverance and vision can get you where you need to go.
Some of you will think “Oh, but they already have so much money, she can do whatever she wants”. That may be true but consider the fact that they’ve never wanted for anything, to begin with, and they’ve still worked hard to build their empire. Remember that the family inherited $100 million from Robert Kardashian, and they still didn’t use that money to buy their dreams; they made them come true.
The Kardashians teach us over and over again that it’s never too late to learn a new skill, pursue a new venture, and try new things. If you want something, you get off your butt and you do your best, that’s the Kardashian way.
Consider the time when the sisters took self-defense and shooting lessons after their Dash store got trashed. Or the time Prince kicked Kim off-stage for not dancing and she went ahead and took choreography lessons. Or the time Kendall got a catwalk coach for herself when she first took an interest in modeling, and look at where she is now!
The Kardashians’ resourcefulness has been made evident in more occasions than I can list at the moment, and this is something you can learn from and apply in every aspect of your life. Regardless of any misconception, you might have about being rich, you don’t need money to make your life better; it’s your choices that matter.
It’s not important if you work from 9 to 5 or if have your own business, if you’re creative and resourceful, you can not only expand your set of skills but also improve your situation. Do you work as a waitress? Think of a more efficient way of doing things and pitch ideas. Do you have your own startup? Try new ways of reaching more potential customers. Strive for more and you will get more!
5. Keep Your Eye On The Big Picture
We can learn a whole bunch from Kris Jenner alone, and one of her most outstanding skills is her eye for opportunity. She has been a complete master in bringing her family to prominence simply by keeping her eye on the big picture, making the most out of any opening and following her projects through to the end and beyond.
This is something we can all benefit from applying to our personal and financial endeavors. Kris Jenner is a visionary and that’s a big part of what it takes to be successful in this world.
