Why Does Giving Feel So Good? True Happiness Is About Giving Not Getting. Giving Is One Of The Best Investments You Can Make: True Giving Comes From The Heart

True Happiness Is In Giving

True happiness is in giving, not getting. Sharing is caring, and sharing doesn’t only bring joy, but it teaches us the importance of taking care of others.

???,???? (Xiào y? xiào, shínián shào. ‘laugh, ten years younger’) — “Happiness is the best cosmetic.” – Chinese Proverb

Different mortal things can be shared, and one can remember that for some years, but sharing or giving a helping hand in an hour of need can be remembered for as long as a man lives in this world.

“If you want happiness for an hour, take a nap. If you want happiness for a day, go fishing. If you want happiness for a year, inherit a fortune. If you want happiness for a lifetime, help somebody.” – Chinese Proverb

“A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.” – Chinese Proverb

True happiness begins when you give and give and go on giving without demanding to get payback. Helping others along the way makes you a judge who can evaluate himself. Who am I and for what purposes I am created? This is the love that the world is searching for, and in its absence, disasters happen. Have you ever come across a person who didn’t become a better person on his own through love? No one, the world relies on love and kindness rules. Not a single person wants to hurt others without reason because humanity is still alive in our hearts.

Lifetime Insurance

Life is too short; it’s enough that you are alive and living a life where you can help others. A true man always ponders over things like “What can I do for others?” instead of asking himself “What I can do for myself?” This is the purpose, the baseline of happiness and real objectives of our creation and blessing us with a cheerful life in this world.  It seems like we are getting life insurance in which we preserve our life by keeping others happy.

“Attitude is a choice. Happiness is a choice. Optimism is a choice. Kindness is a choice. Giving is a choice. Respect is a choice. Whatever choice you make makes you. Choose wisely.” ? Roy T. Bennett

No one is created useless in this world. Everyone has an aim and mission which lightens the burden of others either in the form of physical help, financial help, or guidance. Such people are self-builders who never want others to quit their life game due to insufficient resources. Life although becomes hard and hectic but in the end, the result turned out to be so beautiful and astonishing that one can forget his/her pain that they had to bear during the journey. Always focus on the final destination; no matter how barren and rough are the roads.

Why Do I Give to Others?

Do you ever sit alone and ask, again and again, the same question – why you should give others? We get an answer that we are being chosen. People get help from those who they think that they can help. Like a person who sees darkness and finds a candle for enlightenment, people think that they have enough caliber to help others without caring about themselves. You are created for giving, not getting because the upper hand who gives is better than the lower hand who takes. It makes me feel pleased deep, deep inside in my soul.

It’s a fact that when you keep yourself busy in helping or sorting out other’s issues, you forget about your issues and your problems because they are being solved automatically.

Giving Power

One can make an investment in buying happiness, and that investment only turns out in the form of helping or giving comfort to others. The more you give to others doubles or triples what you get from life, and nothing can beat the happiness that comes from the heart when you become the reason for spreading smiles on peoples’ faces.

The power of giving doesn’t happen in the form of property or lands but from inner peace. Neurologists agree that power relies on feeling good, and one can sleep peacefully at night with this power.

Do you ever feel like the more you give away the more comes back to you? This is because we create a space for new things so that new things can accommodate easily without any disruption. Whenever you feel bored, dull, unhappy and unfulfilled, try to do something great for others which becomes a source of their happiness and this thing ultimately will compel you to smile.

The Reward And Joy Of Giving Others

The world has become so stressful where every other person seeks help from psychologists. People get panic attacks and literally can’t sleep at night. For that purpose, some of them have started charities which keep them busy making tunnels for others. Different organizations and institutions are working with full enthusiasm and zeal. Some are working on feeding the hungry, and some are providing shelters to homeless people.

The world’s encyclopedia is full of wonderful and kind people who did their best in childhood even and are still doing their best. Giving to others is like a bridge that connects you with people through their hearts. True virtues are never wasted. We might think that the ones to whom we’re giving will never acknowledge it. The right approach is to be a giver without expectations. Giving may take many forms like knowledge, skills, wisdom, peace, wealth, compassion, and most important of them is time. It is said that if you want to make someone feel special give him/her some moments of your precious time. Be Happy!

  1. This is a wonderfully accessible take on the virtue of selflessness. A lot of this premise is found in one of the guiding principles of an event I recently attended: AfrikaBurn. ‘Gifting’ is one of the foundational cornerstones of the event that takes on a diverse array of forms as people in their expression offer parts of themselves to others in order to build towards a collective shared experience. It is something I wil be writing on in a series of upcoming blogs. 🙂

  2. You are so right with this, I agree with you! Giving without expecting any return will give us such happiness and fulfillment in our lives. And you are right, it is something that people will remember. Great post!
